Comparing plans
Two plans side by side, or one plan against the way it started.
Every question that begins “what if” is a second plan. Copy the plan, change one thing, and put the two beside each other.
Compare shows the headline figures with the difference between them, the first year each one runs short, and both funding charts. The difference is always shown from the side of the plan you are looking at: what the other plan would do instead.
Once you have logged a year, you can also compare the plan with itself as first set. That difference is a record of what has happened since, not a what-if.
