Where your data lives

On your device, and nowhere else unless you put it there.

Plans are stored on the device you made them on: the browser’s own storage, the Mac app’s own storage, or the phone. Nothing is sent to a server of ours, and there is no account to make.

When your iPhone or iPad backs itself up, to iCloud or to a computer, your plans go into that backup. A new or replaced device restored from it has them back.

On iPhone, iPad and Mac you can mirror your plans to your personal online cloud storage, and only when you switch it on. The one other thing Landfall sends is a note you write us from Settings. That note holds what you typed, your rating, the app version and an anonymous installation code.

Export a plan to a file to back it up or move it to another machine, and import it to bring it back. A plan is a plain file and it is yours.

On iPhone, iPad and Mac you can lock the app, so it asks for Face ID, Touch ID or your password before it shows your plans. On Windows it asks for Windows Hello. The lock protects Landfall on that device only. It does not protect plans in iCloud Drive or files you have exported, and it does not encrypt anything.
