What the home warnings mean
Each warning about the home’s sale, and what the plan did about it.
A warning says what the plan did with something it could not take as given. It never stops the projection.
- Move costs more than the sale raises — The next home and the costs of moving came to more than the home sold for after the mortgage, so the household paid the difference from its money that year.
- Home sale outside the plan — The sale is dated before the plan starts or after it ends, so the home is kept. The warning names the years the plan covers.
- Sale proceeds with no pot — The pot named for the proceeds is missing, or is a pension or an ISA, so they pay that year’s spending first and the rest is invested the way a surplus is.
