Where the figures come from
Every tax figure in Landfall traces back to a named source and the date it was read.
Landfall holds no opinion about UK tax. Every rate, threshold, allowance and age comes from a dated record naming the legislation or official guidance it was read from, the nations it applies to, and whether it is in force or enacted for a later year.
Plan detail, under the timeline, names the tax year the plan is using. The Tax tab goes further: for any person and any year, every part of their income can show the rule that applies to it.
Where a figure is an estimate rather than a rule — typical fund charges, or what a care home costs — it is labelled an estimate and carries the date its sources were read. Anything we cannot source properly is recorded as a gap rather than filled in from memory.
